Today I want to talk about sagging pants...well I'm sure you all expect me to come out and bash these young no-good,disrespectful, no brain having young whipersnappers with tight pants down past their ass showing boxers, briefs, thongs and skidmarks LOL...NAAAAH! Not going to bash them for a few simple facts and deductions that I came down to after a little research. I am 29 years old and I was and still am one of the most mannerly men you may come across..yes ma'am..no ma'am...please and thank you...and quite smart, never robbed, killed, or committed any crimes in my life...but when I went to school with my pants a little low because my mom bought me these tight ass pants to wear and I didn't want to get picked on...I sagged them shits. This was 1 year short of 2 decades ago...are you kidding me? The thing that is quite different and not completely understood is that every generation has their thing when it came to fashion. When women walk around with mini skirts and either thongs or no underwear,, why is that alright and socially accepted. How about a bra strap showing...and every day you go to work you are subject to follow that trail of that bra strap to where it else it may lead. my point is this my friends...put it into perspective, there are states that are making this illegal, schools that are reprimanding kids, and a government that has trained you to associate these types or dress by young blacks, whites, latinos, asians, and all that there is something wrong with them.
No...there is something wrong with us. I agree that it can be quite egregious at times when these guys want to sag with skinny jeans on...that's almost...scary, but this is an identity that has been accepted by this generation and who are we to determine that this is socially acceptable for me and you.
The other day I posted on Facebook that I would trip the next sagger I see and take his wallet an run because he couldn't chase me...shouldn't I be scared of the saggers? Lil Wayne is NOTORIOUS for this....but he's like a millionaire or something. Jay-Z does it and he like owns an NBA basketball team and is like a billionaire lol. Don't harp on it...if it offends you, go to your local Applebee's and take it out on the $2.99 Long island ice teas...good stuff. Psychologically you cannot force a growing child to not be themselves if that is what you want to raise them to be...strong, independent, respectful, and to have their own identity. If they sag...tell them to just have a shirt that's long enough to cover it or don't drop them low enough to where we can see the skid marks...encourage them to do it respectfully and not outlaw them as criminals. The next time you see a kid sagging...think twice, he may be the next Jay-Z or he may be the average Joe that has problems just like the dude with his pants on his waist with a belt on tight and a loaded .38 ready to let off rounds.
Till the next post...Peace and Love
Write me...I would love to hear from you!
