How do I cut costs?

Entrepreneurs

I remember placing a phone call on a physical phone that was connected to the wall in my house... Most of the times you were fine doing local calls to your friends, and close neighbors... It seemed like everything was more localized and central, the most long distance you'd get is customer service... Or the local news broadcasting a story from another city. Small business needs have changed so much with the new wave of technology. With the newest technology you can find plenty alternatives to using the old and outdated methods, as well as the current conference call rates you don't have to pay an arm and a leg to contact your associates and customers. Now you also have the power of choice; web conference, or toll free numbers. So you can expand your support from your business, save, and not get taken advantage by bigger corporations that say they have experience for years, which may be true, but with time the prices haven't changed either. As we step into the NEX Generation of business and more efficient ways of doing things let's utilize the tools we have that will help ensure success.

Until NEX time...hit us up at. Comments below.

A little business help...

Business Owners

Keeping up with your inventory and customers is getting more and more complicated. Especially if you are doing it by yourself. Where do you start? As much as you would like to save time and money for your business, you cant use QR codes for everything... As fun as they are, that won't help you with your inventory. You need some real equipment with real support... This website has tons of items in stock with the newest technology, from age verification for your bar, to barcode scanners to help your customer check out quicker... You can even get your own loyalty cards so you can offer exclusive discounts and other fun stuff... Face it, you need some real technology with real results.

If you have questions on how to utilize these scanners or how to find the right app for your smartphone, hit us up at Radio@NGA-Radio.com for more details.

Evolution

This month has been a whirlwind of change for me. My first born moved further away from me in order to broaden his horizons. While I am happy about what he has to look forward to, I had a hard time dealing with him leaving (I cried most of the day). It wasn't the first time we've ever been miles apart, but I just feel that since I lost my Mama, every change, disconnect, evolution is a heart-wrenching endeavor.

I also went to my class reunion. I have been out of high school for 25 years. WOW! I'm old. LOL......This was a bittersweet weekend. Last year around this time, I was speaking with my friend Thelma about going to these "reunion" things. She had been down for our "All Alumni Weekend".....I didn't make it to the picnic to hang out with her because I was in one of those "moods" where I didn't feel like socializing or leaving the house. I promised her then, I wouldn't miss another alumni picnic AND that I would go to our 25th reunion with her.......

Earthquakes...What do you believe?

Greetings family

I will start it off like this... first Steve Jobs resigns, Nick Ashford passes away, now earthquakes...what the hell is going on right now? I want to know if I/we are getting the full story on this one here. Now as long as I have been alive and lived on the eastern coast of the United States, I have never felt an earthquake rumble beneath my feet. Now living in NYC and working on Wall Street during the time of 09/11, I could say that felt like damn earthquake with all the explosions going on but that is the closest. NYC experienced a magnitude 2.2 quake while Washington D.C received a mind blowing 5.8... 5.8 which not to mention has also helped to show what one D.C police officer called the sinking or tilting of the Washington Monument...hmmm that's a whole other story for another post.

RESTAURANT REVIEW- IL RIFUGIO

IL RIFUGIO
4602 Avenue N
Brooklyn, NY 11234
718-677-4242

This place is a great addition to the neighborhood.

My waitress was great - her name was Vicki (I hope) - She was pleasant and very attentive to our needs. She made sure we knew the specials.

The decor is actually very nice... it has a homely feeling. They have the Old pots hanging on the brick walls along with very dim lighting. I wish the chairs were a little more comfy but I wasn't sitting there for hours so it was fine.

Moving on to what we went there for - THE FOOD!

Yay! Free Stuff!

Stuff is good... Even more, free stuff is better... Free stuff gets even better when its food... Yum. Whats the most important mean of the day? Breakfast! So wouldn't it be just awesome to get a free breakfast? Well you still stay with mom? Well damn, you get that everyday! lol! So you say "What about the rest of us?". You get a free breakfast too! "Aw man, quit stalling! What about this free breakfast?" Well keep reading to find out!

Red Light Nights Press Play- 08/14/2011

The world isn’t safe anymore! Why because Redlight Nights hosted by Tino Panama is going to make sure that your ears are not safe from good music! You will be forced to abandon the wack music you are forced to listen to on the radio and TV waves. You will be made to like original, dope acts that are presented to you live in person at the Redlight Café and on NGA-Radio.com on Sunday nights. Last Sunday was just another peg in the ladder of success that featured dope acts like Wattz Boy reppin the West side!! Kiddshy put it down mercellously. JR straight from his appearance on BET’s 106 & Park repped hard for the 205 set. If you don’t know that Birmingham. Dell G came through with the epitome of Hip Hop which is two turntables and a microphone with a dope set.

SPOTLIGHT Humanitarian: Cynthia Walker

Greetings WORLD

NGA-Radio has partnered with Cynthia Walker and her team to raise funds and help find the cure for Parkinson's disease. Cynthia will be hosting a Family Fun Day for all to attend and enjoy on September 10th, 2011 in Mableton, Ga that will have a school carnival feel to it along with a moonwalk for the kids, raffles set up to give away prizes, and lots of food and drinks! We look at this as an initiative with a positive spin and are lucky to be part of it. Below are some words and background from Cynthia regarding her foundation:

This year I am proud to be playing a part in the fight against Parkinson's. As a Team Fox member I will be raising money to support The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. This event is in honor of my dad and others affected by Parkinson's Disease. Your support and dedication to me and my family is greatly appreciated and will not ever be forgotten.

Taking on the challenge of this fundraising endeavor is both exciting and inspiring. I am dedicating my efforts to The Michael J. Fox Foundation because I believe that my work as a Team Fox member will ultimately shorten the road to a cure.

TECH: "Anonymous"

Remember, remember, the 5th of November... Very familiar lines from the movie "V For Vendetta". If you haven't seen the movie yet, it's good time to get caught up in a world of deception and lies... Oh wait, you might be already there. What I meant to say is, if you wish to slowly wake up from it all... This might be a movie for you... Now what does this date have to do outside of this movie, and back in the real world? Well if you owned a PlayStation 3 this year, or had a friend who owned one I'm sure you heard about the few weeks that the online side of the system was down... Even before all that, I'm sure you've heard about the CIA website being shut down for some time as well...

So what does all this mean? Is my PlayStation Network going down again? Or does the CIA need better security? No, and yes... lol. Ok, ok. All jokes aside if you haven't heard of them, there is a group called "Anonymous" that hacked both of the networks; the CIA website and then PSN. Now a new target: Facebook. Its about damn time... "Oh no! Not my Facebook! How will I know what all my 7,900 'friends' are doing all day?" Wake up. Facebook is not your friend. Your privacy is a joke. Have you ever tried to delete your Facebook? Not happening...

http://anonplus.bombshellz.net
"Everything you do on Facebook stays on Facebook regardless of your "privacy" settings, and deleting your account is impossible, even if you "delete" your account, all your personal info stays on Facebook and can be recovered at any time. Changing the privacy settings to make your Facebook account more "private" is also a delusion. Facebook knows more about you than your family" says, Anonymous.
Its all true... The origins of Facebook might of started with good intentions of  connecting you with your friends, but as time passed by it was influenced by people with money and power... Another quote...
All power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. -Lord Acton, 1887

So it was bound to happen... This is not the first time that  Anonymous has spoken out against social networks; After Google removed Anonymous' GMail and Google+ accounts, Anonymous pledged to create its own social network, calling AnonPlus. In my own opinion I hope they are successful simply for the fact that we have been lied to by so many government, corporations, and other entities...

Furthermore, we will be having an open discussion today LIVE ON AIR at 8:00 PM (EST) if you wish to join us, add our Skype username: NGA.Radio or join our mIRC chat room on our "Contact Us" page.

Movie Review: Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Movie Fanatics

I happened to check out the new Planet of the Apes movie and I must say... it was GOOD. If you never watched Planet of the Apes before then the movie may have caught you off guard. Monkeys running around the city after escaping from jail? No... way deeper than that but if I was you, I would do my research. There is a reason why this movie made $55 million the first weekend!

Can I get an Advance?

What's up people?

Have you ever had like $20 left in your pocket until payday? You have to get gas for the car, eat lunch, and who knows what other things may pop up on you before that direct deposit hits on Friday at 12am. Now my thing is this...how is your money being managed to where yo only have $20 left? Are you living above your means or are you behind on your bills? Are things becoming overwhelming for you and you just need a little help to get your head back over the water? Well in Georgia, I heard a while ago about these payday advance loans that can help you until your next check. I am all for the help because the country knows we all need it, but at what cost? Does this give people a crutch to say...hey I'm gonna overspend and get my habit on and when I'm out of money, I'll just get an advance. For most people they don't see that they are creating an inherent debt going forward. If you borrow an unsuspecting $100 then you are already starting without a full check on Friday and the cycle starts over again.

Don't get me wrong...it is a useful tool for those in need and with the state of our current economic situation, it seems like it is something that can really help you when you get tired of running to mom and dad or putting all your friends in your business. Either way, however you look at cash advance loans...just know that if you enter into one you check out the interest being added and review those terms thoroughly.

Until NEX time family. Peace, Love, and Spend wisely.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

As an only child, I'm used to doing things alone and/or for myself. It physically pains me to ask someone to do something or help me. However, I always find myself being the first to ask someone I see in need. "What do you need?" Or observing what someone needs and taking it upon myself to help them get it done.
I've found recently that sometimes you have to ask for help.....but, you have to know WHO to ask. There are some people who pretend to have your back only for their benefit. Sometimes they're transparent. Sometimes they are better actors than Sir Laurence Olivier. #realtalk

Red Light Nights Press Play- 07/31/2011

Yo Yo Yo!

Tino Panama was back at it again with another action packed evening from his Red Light Nights following! Performers that took the stage on Sunday night were King Eazy, Mr. Flamboyant, Stephanie Wolfe, O.D.L.E, JP3, Juztin Sane and Kodene,B-Ill Affect, PrettyBoi Sam, Toni Ashton Stori Brooks, Real Recognize Real, and The Yellow BOYZ! The place got totally packed out by around 11pm when Real Recognize Real came into the Red Light Cafe... When I say the crew was DEEP... Please take me seriously. Their movement is the Indianz can rap and they about to show us all how they do it. Stori Brooks provided the female rap flavor with her punchlines and creativity. JP3 brought a little comedic humor to the stage... You all rate him lol. Finally the Yellow Boyz got on stage and the crowd went crazy... They rocked out until after 12pm and concluded another successful night. Tino....PRESS PLAY!!!
