Check out the interview and check them out on twitter at @iam_face, @Blizm, @DinkDinero, and @BigBullyStreetz.

Did somebody say pictures?
YES! NGA-Radio and JFearon Photography
took loads of pictures and video and we decided to bring you the fabulous Red Carpet photos first. Everyone was so well dressed from the gowns that some of the young ladies wore to the suit jackets and slacks that some of the young men had on. Some of our duos and teams came together with matching/cooperative outfits tat were just perfect for their performance. Shandria Elliott & Ms. Mulatto gave a great performance and gave us that awesome personality as only they could give. TJ the lady killer put on a show for the crowd that was just short of perfection...you did a great job TJ, the world sees you. The winners circle comprised of The Mayn Event and Tyreke Thompson who had a tie for Best Vocalist, and Tray Sowda who took home the title for Best Dancer. The judges definitely had a hard time with the selection that they had to narrow down the winner from. Special thank you to ATL Events Publicist Tia Culver, Derrick Crooms- Producer at ColliPark Music, and Hamilton Jones for taking on the big job of picking our winners.

To the other dance crews and performers that gave it their all...NGA-Radio gives you a standing ovation and urges you to keep pushing to your dream and stay in school to get the knowledge you need make this dream a true reality while doing it the right way. DJ Priest, Young Motive, Fresh P, Yungsta Da Wiz, Trinity Rose....Nova Black...Nova Black you all did your thing and this event was perfect with you all included in it. Team Strizz stopped through and put on a performance that was on point with the message that was being given...you can also be 6'5...250 and not feel the need to bully anyone...S/O to Blizm, BB Streetz, and Dink Dinero...btw they are some big guys lol. I almost forgot to tell you all who else decided to stop by...none other than Madea herself...talking about she gonna stop the bullys...let's work on Madea a lil bit, but it does sound like she might be headed in the right direction too though lol. Marie and Turquoise...better known as Purple Lavish Ent. did everything you could think of to make sure that this event was done just right for the kids and to bring this epidemic of bullying an violence to a halt along with some some words from the SAVION Foundation, I definitely see a BIG CHANGE coming soon. For now you lovely people enjoy the slideshow below and comment below on how you felt about the event and your thoughts on bullying and the song tailored perfectly for this slideshow by on of the winners...Tyreke Thompson. ENJOY!
Chris Brown...NO. USHER....NO. His name...the Winner of the Dance segment of the 1st Annual YSTS was Atlanta's own... Tray Sowda! As a dancer who has honed his skills over the past 5 years doing his own choreography and training extensively to be the best, this young man has a FUTURE ahead of him. Dancing is something he always wanted to do and is a great way for him to express himself as he told us at his first audition. It's kind of in his blood as his father was pretty light on his feet as well. Check out some pics of Tray on the Red Carpet at the YSTS below.

Be on the lookout for Tray Sowda and Congratulations again for an AWESOME performance!

I know you are like...another winner? Yes...if you were not in attendance, you missed an outstanding vocal performance that crowned 2 champs due to the judges not being able to break the tie. So with no further hesitation, we bring you Tyreke!
Tyreke on the Red Carpet-Photo by JFearon Photography
When I first saw Tyreke perform at the audition for the YSTS, I was amazed at how his vocal skills and dancing resembled the great Michael Jackson. He gave his all in his performance Saturday evening and it led him to be a co-winner of the 1st Annual Young Sensations Talent Search. Tyreke will also be starring in an upcoming movie called Four Fifteen.
Check out his thoughts on bullying in this video below and look out Tyreke! Once again NGA-Radio was thankful to be among such great talent and we wish you much success in the future!
The WINNERS were announced and we will put together some pics and a little background on Tray Sowda, The Mayn Event, and Tyreke Thompson. We are so proud of these Young Sensations and we wanted to start you out with The Mayn Event! Check out their pics in the slideshow below along with the first interview we did with them during the audition phase. Congratulations to 1st place performers: THE MAYN EVENT!!!!

Well since I last wrote to you all the football season was in danger. Its safe for now, but I feel and many others as well, that boxing is a sport struggling to stay relevant. The Mayweather V.S. Ortiz fight a few weeks ago just piles on to the many reasons and wonders as to why boxing is no longer great in sports. Personally, I still love the sport. Nothings better then watching two men fight 12 rounds after months of training. But now boxing is weak. Few reasons I believe is there are not many fighters with a name. Also, fighters with a name won't fight other fighters with a name.(hope you follow that) Most importantly the heavy-weight division is non existed. Every decade has had a great heavy-weights that we all remember. Old stories from your grandfather or father, from the 1920's- 2000's we've had heavy-weights that we remember from Jack Johnson; Joe Louis; to Muhammad Ali. Also, Larry Holmes; Mike Tyson; Evander Holyfield; and Lennox Lewis. After naming these's greats with more names that I didn't include...Its the heavy-weight class clearly that boxing is missing. Vitali Klitschko is a good fighter, but I can't say he has been challenged yet. If there is a fighter, name him??? In my eyes I don't see him has a great fighter, but he's a champion, so he has my respect has a boxer.
We wanted to give you all a quick update as we edit and re-edit video from this fantastic, successful event. Thanks Purple Lavish Ent! We had the Best Dance act winner: Tray Sowda and a tie for Best Vocalist: The Mayn Event and Tyreke Thompson. In the coming days you will see interviews and photos from the Red Carpet. I happen to be personally stung by the motion made yesterday to end the life of a man not proven guilty of a crime...Troy Davis said his last words. I am still in shock as I have researching and reading almost everything I could find pertaining to this case. So many witnesses saying that they did not see him shoot anyone, the gentleman that was shot in the car earlier saying he doesn't think Davis was the guy that shot him, Coles being the one that actually DID have the .38 caliber pistol. C'mon is this not evident? The thing that bothers me the most is the fact that there is still the institution of man deciding who lives and who dies...isn't that the creator's job? America has too much double standards still going on and it is sickening. When we talk about change we talk about things like this...JUSTICE. Casey Anthony walks free after evidence that she murdered her baby, OJ Simpson Walks free after murdering his wife, and Samuel David Crowe is granted clemency after admitting to murdering someone by the same prison that just ended Davis' life. Take a look at this excerpt that I got from Wikipedia.
As the world turns and technology evolves everything gets smaller, faster, better. You now have a choice of what mobile device you can buy. The computer started as a big thing that barely anyone owned. Now you can't find anyone that doesn't own one... Then we got laptops, which were still bulky and expensive... Yet again, now its the powerhouse of the laptops, with laptops that have blu-ray and Dr Dre beats... Still not the smallest. Then we cut down and made netbooks. These are great with long battery span and good for average user that browses web and uses little apps. You can always get them cheap in stores but I believe the best netbooks are online, because of the variety. As we progressed even more, now we have the tablets like the iPad2 that do just about everything. There is an app for literary everything. So now since the tablets are in such high demand because of the versatility they will be the big seller these upcoming holidays... So if you are in the market for a computer, laptop or netbook, be sure to wait for the holiday sales while everyone is engaging in tablet wars...

Why? Why NYC? Labor Day weekend is supposed to be a celebration...not a blood bath. This particular weekend seems to incite pure ignorance and poor behavior. 42 shootings in one weekend? NYC is where I was born and raised and all my life there has been this negative cloud over NYC from the cat size rats...to the "northern" hospitality...to the anger that they have built up inside. Now I am all for a community of people coming together to have fun and celebrate, but why not do it in peace? Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx...you HAVE to do better. The parade on the Parkway is close to being shut down for good if you don't stop the madness. People buying up guns and shooting others faster than the receipt printer can ring up the purchase for the dang firearm. We need a change in this world...in this country...and in this state. Stop the violence because it is senseless. how can someone shoot another person and have no remorse or thought before doing it? Hopefully we will soon get the change that the world and BLACK people need. WAKE UP! Stop killing each other for no reason. NYC you are important...respect others and stop the madness.
We have to STOP! www.newyork.cbslocal.com
Comment below and share your Labor Day experience. I hope it was good for you. Until NEX time...Peace and LOVE.
Talk to me for a quick minute. What is the difference between a woman who is thick vs. big-boned or dare I use the word fat? First of all the percentage of women in America that is overweight is over 50% so with that said maybe this is something that needs to be embraced as everyone wasn't born to be slim or skinny lol. Check this stat from 2007!
One of our first Featured Artists on NGA-Radio...L.E.X. Reppin Milwaukee, WI this lyrically gifted wordsmith dropped a video that we are sharing for you all. Women and men around the U.S. are assaulted by real and impostor law enforcers on a monthly if not weekly basis. Women are especially targeted for sexual assault. According to " The National Police Misconduct Statistics and Reporting Project," law enforcers are 3 times more likely to rape women than the rest of the population (Statistics explained at this site: Injusticeeverywhere.com). Law enforcement abuse and misuse of power must be intolerable. Please sign this petition demanding the right to stop in a well lit, populated public area if pulled over for non-emergency related matters. It's safer for law enforcers to protect themselves in this way also. One of the sponsors of this petition is currently appealing being fined for not being pulled over in a well lit, populated area on the dark, desolate PCH in Malibu after Midnight on Jan. 24th, 2011. If interested in this case, please read this: Malibusurfsidenews.com
Ok...T.I. was released today from prison in Arkansas to a halfway house here in Atlanta. I been wanting to say this for a while...I love T.I. as a rapper/entertainer but, he dumber than a bag of rocks whereas his real well being and responsibility goes. Not only was Clifford Harris sent to jail for a second stint within the last few years...but again the preferential treatment ensues. If you want to buy swisher sweets cigars and roll them up outside of your home where you are still in the public eye while on probation...you've got it coming to you and you are not really thinking. Most stars think they are not role models and what not and think their actions have no affect on the younger generation. Think again...you were given the responsibility when you were given the opportunity. Respect it and respect your fans to keep the negative parts of your personal away from the public because when you don't...those words of hypocrisy will follow. I got love for T.I and his family and I hope he really makes the necessary changes within to do better. Don't just talk about it at the school and the next album you drop. Live it brother.

Where do you want to go today? Somewhere new? How do you get there? Dust out the glove box and get the map? Old Skool... What if you crash? Hope you have a cell phone... With newer technology car gps are becoming more and more common. They use to cost an arm and a leg when first introduced, but now you even have gps on your phone. The features have also upgraded, from roadside assistance to live traffic, construction, new added roads, and closed off streets to help you re-route streets live according to whats around you. You can even sync your phone and car to the gps to use as a hands free speaker or to play music... So much has gone into these tiny devices... They keep getting smaller and the price eventually shrinks as well. If you don't think you are ready to go full gps you can also buy clearance, refurbished and used to try it cheaper.
