Forget SOPA...what about ACTA?

What up Family

So just when you thought the coast was clear and SOPA was stopped due to our blackouts of websites that we frequent on the daily to show the government we won't stand for our rights to be taken...here peeking out from the rafters is the bill that preceded SOPA a few years ago instituted by George Bush and now aggressively being pushed by the Obama Administration. ACTA stands for Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement and the purpose of this bill according to Wikipedia:
"the purpose of establishing international standards for intellectual property rights enforcement. The agreement aims to establish an international legal framework for targeting counterfeit goods, generic medicines and copyright infringement on the Internet, and would create a new governing body outside existing forums, such as the World Trade Organization, the World Intellectual Property Organization, or the United Nations.[1][2][3]"

Once again we are looking at a situation that is fueled by the need for power...not money, because the money is the illusion that is put up for us to see as the main reason. Such and such company or corporation is losing money because they can't control who sees what or has access to what. When you think about it...sharing is caring, since when has it become a federal offense. I have lost my sense of thought because again we go back to not only civil liberties, but god given rights as well. If I got a recipe from a website by Paula Deen and then shared it with a friend...is that copyright infringement? I mean where do they draw the line before they blatantly tell us that this is a totalitarian situation going on and Problem...Reaction...Solution is how they plan on solving the issue.

This bill can quite literally crush some economies due to anything that actually has the original patent number to it,this will stop others from reproducing their product. What would that mean for aspirin or the generic brand...or Oreo cookies vs the Kroger brand? Can you see where they are going with this? ISP providers are the new recruits to the police state...monitoring your every internet action from your facebook conversations and random logins to what type of diapers you just bought on the second hand website for a good price. Check out this video below and see a little more about the bill and do some research for yourself...for something that will have a BIG impact on your life unless we all take note to what is going on. Another one to look out for is PIPA: Protect IP Act...we are trying to look out for you...now go look out for yourself.
