LIFESTYLE: Who Gave you the Right to Represent Me?

What's up people

This morning when I woke up and logged into my Facebook account, I came across a video that my boy and fellow NGA Radio blogger, CraftWorks shared with a few of our mutual friends. It struck me because it was titled Ignorance and Coonery of black people in the Media. So upon listening to it, I see it was rapper  Chuck D...a legend ... who was speaking and it instantly hit me with a lot of points that he was making. I notice black people usually do things as a people, get together, protest and fight during designated times throughout the year...ie: Black History Month, Trayvon Martin killing, Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday, etc.

Then to a point that Chuck D made was the way that most artists try to be acceptable to the younger instead of the other way around. If we are to ever really evolve, wouldn't it have to be where the older and wiser lead the younger? Well I have the video posted below for you to listen and share your opinion.

This is an open forum where all comments are welcome and no bias is made. The Rant Ninja actually made some reference to the representation we get in his rant about the BET Awards. This is NEX Generation baby!
Peace
